The successful applicant will lead teams across multiple audits and participate with delivery in a timely and effective manor ensuring value-add assurance services to the business.

The Role:

The Senior Audit Manager, Corporate Banking Audit is responsible for delivering a professional audit service to the business and providing objective assurance to the business over key business risks, through independent assessment of internal management controls.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform high quality, risk-focused assurance work which provides management with powerful insights and recommendations for improving the control environment in line with Group strategic objectives.
  • Utilise the knowledge and assurance provided by other Line 1-2 functions and the External Auditors when undertaking audit fieldwork.
  • Manage the audit scope, budget and timing within agreed targets.
  • Continuously seek ways to reduce costs by executing audits efficiently, without negatively impacting audit coverage and scope.
  • Utilise analytics throughout the audit life cycle to drive more efficient audit testing and greater assurance.
  • Make recommendations to improve and simplify internal control processes

Applicants must have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or Technology related field
  • Professional / post graduate qualification e.g. CA, CIA, ACA, ACCA
  • Expertise in internal audit techniques and knowledge of audit standards and best practices, or specialist skills in a technical area of the banking/financial industry (e.g. institutional banking, trading)
  • Six or more years’ experience in audit or risk, post professional qualification experience or minimum six years’ experience working in the banking/financial services industry
  • Exposure to institutional banking, derivative trading and market risk management

The primary role of the Manager Internal Audit is to manage all areas of Internal Audit across the Group’s business entities. The role has accountability for providing the Head of Risk & Compliance with an objective view of the Group’s control environment through professional Internal Audit performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Managing the delivery and reporting of Internal Audit program to an exceptional standard.
· Develop policies, procedures and systems to support the Internal Audit program.
· Regularly liaising with management to discuss internal audit programs, upcoming projects, audit findings and recommendations.
· Managing the development of stakeholder reporting, including to Executive management and the Board.
· Advise the Executive of Internal Audit process/progress, control environment and management obligations.

This role requires:
· Professional Qualification in audit, accounting, finance, law or related business discipline.
· Excellent knowledge of Internal Audit standards and control models.
· Excellent knowledge of International Accounting standards.
· Demonstrated experience in Internal Audit management roles.
· Superior interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders.
